Jolie-Pitt Donated $1 Million, Wyclef Jean Help Victims of Earthquake in Haiti

Hollywood couple and philanthropists Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie donated $1 million for the medical operation in Haiti that has been struck by a 7.0 magnitude earthquake, with death toll estimate reaching 100,000.  The donation will be channeled through their Jolie-Pitt foundation and be given to the Doctors Without Borders.

According to Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt respectively,

It is incredibly horrible to see a catastrophe of this size hit a people who have been suffering from extreme poverty, violence and unrest for so many decades.

We understand the first response is critical to serve the immediate needs of countless people who are now displaced from their homes, are suffering trauma, and most require urgent care.

The couple has been very active on different advocacy and humanitarian works with Jolie being also a UN Ambassador.

Let us pray for all the victims of the earthquake and the people of Haiti.
