MTRCB wants "Magpasikat" Suspended Too. Personal Vendetta or What?
The MTRCB also wants “Magpasikat” to be suspended, the show that was made as a quick replacement by ABS-CBN to “Showtime” after the latter was slapped with a 20-day preventive suspension due to the negative and discriminatory comments of judge/hurado Rosanna “Osang” Roces against her fellow judge/hurado Vice Ganda, and against teachers.

“Magpasikat” is still the composed by the same hosts of the suspended program and with a quite similar program format, only that this time around, celebrities are the ones who are invited to show their talents.
MTRCB through its lawyerwants to suspend “Magpasikat” also for the reason that “Showtime” and “Magpasikat” are just the same.
To this, ABS-CBN lawyers and executives already cried foul for the seemingly vendetta of MTRCB to all noontime shows, and their clear violation of due process and disregard to existing laws and procedures. While the only agenda for the meeting and hearing that day is the suspension of “Showtime” the lawyer of the MTRCB just brought up its recommendation of filing a suspension to “Magpasikat” for the above-mentioned reason.
What is happening to this agency? Personal vendetta or what?

Freaking MTRCB. They can’t tell the differences? Are they THAT stupid?
See, there are a couple of differences between Showtime and Magpasikat:
* Different titles and songs.
* Vice Ganda isn’t a host anymore. He doesn’t say “May Nagtext!” anymore too.
He is a regular host!
* The hosts get their “Manoks” by picking from the bowl. Did Showtime have that? No, it didn’t.
* It isn’t the ordinary people who show off their talents, instead it’s the celebrities who do.
*In Showtime, there must be at least 10 people to perform. While in Magpasikat, there is no number of people required – as long as they perform.
* There’s this segment called “Who U?” in Magpasikat. Showtime didn’t have that.
* There’s no “Score mo, Show mo!” in Magpasikat. Instead, Juggy and Teddy ask at least 2 or 3 individuals what they think of the performance by asking, “Which one do you like better? And is it Pasado, Pasang-awa, or Palakol?”
* The judges DON’T give the performers their scores after they comment on their performances.
* Not to mention, there’s only FOUR judges in Magpasikat.

I am a TFC subscriber from Los Angeles and I am very much disappointed with MTRCB – I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one. With unlawful decision that they did a couple of days ago (and that is suspending Showtime), many people question their credibility and integrity as public servants. I just wish ABS-CBN would SUE them with big money involved. We all know that Showtime didn’t control Osang’s mind when she made her comment about teachers – Vice, Vhong, and Anne even thanked teachers for educating students. Showtime did their job by having her removed from the show. And not only that, isn’t Philippines a free country? She can say whatever she wants. No, I’m not taking her side because I very much respect teachers – it’s just that it’s her right to say what she wants. Here in US, people criticize each other on TV, yet they just don’t give a damn about it.
And didn’t teachers release their statements already? I believe the said that they wanted Showtime back and they knew that what Osang did wasn’t Showtime’s fault. So, why is MTRCB still chooses to suspend Showtime?
Now, the issue of suspending Magpasikat. I already listed above some of the proofs that their accusation is very wrong. There are differences between Magpasikat and Showtime.
They want to suspend Magpasikat badly that they just make crap up. I am sure that many will get mad at MTRCB by wanting to suspend Showtime.
I hope MTRCB gets the karma that they deserve. What they do is very wrong and even the Filipino citizens can see it.
Nothing and no one can make them stop for making happy. Definitely not MTRCB.

I myself do not really know why the MTRCB is suspending everything or all shows that ABS-CBN is putting on that time slot? This is puzzling…and obviously for me, the MTRCB is bullying the network.

I think its a personal vendetta.. grabe naman sila bakit pati ung magpasikat e gusto din ipasuspend? Ang ganda kaya ng show kahit pang celeb pa pero mas mganda tlaga ang Showtime..
