Kris Aquino Is Leaving the Country…But for Vacation

Kris Aquino, sister of the presidential race Noynoy Aquino has already spoken about the online campaign mounted on Facebook making sure that she sticks to her words of leaving the country if her brother wins.

She is actually leaving the Philippines, but before all those who are into making her honor her words rejoice, Kris clarified that it will be just for a long over-due vacation with her family.

Kris shared,

“I am leaving for a Disney vacation abroad w/ my kids but after ‘Pilipinas Got Talent’ & my obligation to ‘KTM’ (‘Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo’) finishes. I will be gone for at least 3 weeks then to give my kids the vacation we postponed last year because of mom’s (late Pres. Cory Aquino) deteriorating health. I will be back on ‘SNN’ (‘Showbiz News Ngayon’) on Monday, May 17.”

How about on the issue of leaving the country if Noynoy becomes the president?  This is what Kris said last March,

“Sinabi ko nga kay Noynoy, ‘O Noy kung makakasira ako sa’yo in case presidente ka na dahil baka naman pati sa Malacañang week after week may issue dahil sa’kin, don’t worry, mag-a-abroad ako at magtatrabaho sa TFC (The Filipino Channel) office abroad.’ At ang sabi ni Noy sa’kin nung gabi, ‘Pinagpapraktisan mo ba ako ng teleserye mo? Nag-di-dinner lang tayo ha.”

On the issue of becoming the first lady of his bachelor brother?

“Una kapag ikaw ang nangangampanya at ikaw ang nahalal, alipin ka na ng tao at lahat ng pinagsisilbihan mo. At hindi pa ko handang maging alipin.”

For sure those who are into the Kris Aquino Despedida Facebook Page are not satisfied with her answer.

UPDATE:

“Tito Ricky, I’m on vacation. Bakit ako papatol sa mga talunan na bitter ngayon? If you review my interview, I had told Noy na kung makakabigat lang ako sa kanya sa presidency nya, then by all means I’d gladly take my kids abroad and not to be a burden…But Noy said itigil na raw ang ka-dramahan. I also have Noy’s text to all of us his sisters thanking us because of all we sacrificed for him — he was battered mercilessly but we stood firm with him and I campaigned tirelessly.

“Noy has been vocal in telling family and friends that I’m his ‘lucky charm.’ I worked to help my brother win, fulfilling a deathbed promise I made to our Mom and it seems apparent that I was effective. I was also taught by Mom to not be vindictive or to seek revenge. So in the same way that Noy drew strength from us, I’ll continue to draw strength from my sisters and my brother.

“And we will enjoy this quiet time because we deserve our rest and rejuvenation.”

So there it goes.  Kris Aquino is here to stay.
