GMA7 Sues Mo Twister for Breach of Contract
GMA Network is suing its former showbiz TV show host DJ Mo Twister for breach of contract after the latter jump off ship and joined TV5.
The giant network is asking for 4 million pesos in damages from DJ Mo: 2 million from DJ Mo and TV5, 1 million for attorney’s feed and 1 million pesos for litigation fees.
The case stems from the issue of DJ Mo joining TV5 despite the issue that he still has a contract with GMA7 until May 3, 2010 but the network has the option to renew the contract for another year.
The complaint was lodge at the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office and will be heard under Judge Santiago Arenas of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 217.
PEP.ph sought Mo Twister’s reaction and said this,
“This is my first case, so, medyo excited! It’s exciting… If it’s true, I wanna win. I want to set a standard for other celebrities and other one-sided contracts. I don’t know. Of course, right now, part of me is worried. But part of me is rather excited.”
