Star Cinema's My Amnesia Girl, another HollyWood rip-off?
Rumors has it that Star Cinema’s latest movie, “My Amnesia Girl” is a downright rip off of the Hollywood hit movie “50 first dates” starred by Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore.
However, Cathy Garcia-Molina, the director of “My Amnesia Girl” stated that the only similarity between her movie and the said Hollywood film is that both lead actresses had amnesia, but the movies’ concept are entirely different.
According to the trailer “My Amnesia Girl” is about a love story that knows no boundaries even with the absence of memories.
“My Amnesia Girl” stars John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga, with Carlos Agassi, Ketchup Eusebio and Ronnie Lazaro. It will be in theaters nationwide on November 24.

Shameless. Utterly shameless.
This is stupid. Just because the title has the word “Amnesia” in it, Filipinos immediately associate it with “50 First Dates” because of one common element.
Fellow Filipino audiences- Watch the movie. Take it in. Comment.
Simple. Stop jumping to conclusions. This is a backwards country of people who rarely think before they speak. I assure you… this movie is NOTHING like ’50 First Dates’, neither was the movie even brought up during the conception of the idea.
LMAO. Naisahan sila ni Direk Cathy.
Yan! Ang hilig kasi mag-perceive. Panoorin muna kasi ang pelikula.
