British Actor Henry Cavill is the New Superman

It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s Henry Cavill!

British actor Henry Cavill was casted to play Clark Klent/Superman in the upcoming 2012 film “Superman: The Man of Steel”. He has appeared in several movies such as “The Count Of Monte Cristo” “Stardust” and “Whatever Works.” He is best known for his role in the TV Series “”The Tudors” as Charles Brandon.

The next reboot for the famous comic book character will be directed by “300” director Zack Snyder.

“In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognised and revered character of all time, and I am honoured to be a part of his return to the big screen. He is the perfect choice to don the cape and S shield,” Snyder stated.

However, it was said that the film will not be a sequel to 2006 film “Superman Returns” which starred Brandon Routh. It was rumored that Warner Bros has until 2013 to release a Superman film, and after that they lose the rights to the Superman product to the original creators.

It was said that “Superman: The Man of Steel”  will be released on December 2012.
