Elizabeth Taylor Passed Away at 79 Due to Heart Failure


An icon in Hollywood and one that has been regarded to have the most beautiful face on silver screen had been reported by entertainment sites to have passed away on Wednesday.

The legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor, who started out as child star died at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, California at 1:28 AM (LA time).  Right at her deathbed was her four children.

The confirmation of Elizabeth Taylor’s death was made by publicist Sally Morision.

Taylor has made many Hollywood observers worried over the years regarding her many times of getting admitted into hospital for medical care.  She was already in the hospital for six weeks undergoing medical treatment before she died on Wednesday.

Taylor passed away at 79.

Elizabeth is considered by many as an icon of Hollywood as her career as an actress spans seven long and controversial decades.  She started out as an actress at a young age of 10 and is regarded by many critics and polls as the actress with the most beautiful face in the silver screen.

Her son Michael Wilding remembered her mother and said of her through an official statement,

“My mother was an extraordinary woman who lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor, and love. Though her loss is devastating to those of us who held her so close and so dear, we will always be inspired by her enduring contribution to our world.”

Dame Elizabeth Rosemond Taylor got involved with drug addiction and weight problems.  She was also married eight times.

Some of the most memorable roles that Elizabeth portrayed on screen are from the movies “Butterfield 8”, “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?”, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” “Cleopatra” and “National Velvet.”

Born in Hampstead, London, she boasts of two Oscar awards and number of nominations.
