Kim Chiu: I Will Support Gerald If He Wants to Play in the PBA
Kim Chiu was sought for her reaction on Tuesday about the reports of her former on-screen partner Gerald Anderson soon leaving showbiz and play for the PBA D-League.
Kim said in an interview with “Showbiz News Ngayon”
“Kahit naman anong ginagawa niya ang kung saan siya [masaya], nandito lang naman ako nakasuporta pa rin.”
Gerald Anderson was reported to have been contemplating of leaving the entertainment industry in order to join the Philippine Basketball Association’s D-League. Sports writers said that Gerald had joined the practice of the NLEX Red Warriors a couple of times. (watch video of Gerald here playing basketball)
This was confirmed by the NLEX coach, Boyet Fernandez.
“We really appreciate that he is attending our practices,” said coach Fernandez.
Kim on the other hand said that it is Gerald’s dream of becoming a professional basketball player. Kim shared,
“Dati bukod sa pagiging artista, pangarap niya maging basketball player. So iyon siguro sana matupad na niya ang dream niya.”
However, Gerald had clarified that he has no intention of leaving showbiz for the PBA during an interview on “The Buzz” last Sunday.
