Stefano Langone Ready to Launch His Own Music Career After American Idol Stint
The good-looking yet “flirtatious” (as his fellow American Idol contestants describe him) is the latest among the remaining hopefuls to be sent off.
Landing once again on the bottom three and getting the least votes, Stefano Langone said goodbye to the American Idol stage during the latest elimination night. After getting voted off, Stefano shared his thoughts about the whole whirlwind experience of being a contestant on one of the most popular US television show.
He said in an interview with Speakeasy,
“I feel like a million pounds have been lifted off my shoulders. I did everything I set out to do on this show.”
He also added that he learned a lot from his experience especially with record producer Jimmy Iovine who seemed too hard on him. But Stefano said that he appreciate the way Jimmy motivated him and let him show the best he has always.
The 22-year old contestant in a separate interview also shared that he never really wanted to win the prestigious title.
“When I came out for ‘American Idol’ I never really wanted to be the American Idol. It was getting that foot in the door in the music industry.
It is hard to really show your chops on the show…One thing I really wanted to save and keep close to myself was my original music and my piano playing. That is something I want to show to the world (in the future) and I think will be very special.”
After his stint with American Idol, Stefano is confident that he can successfully launch his own music career taking inspiration from the singing style of music great Stevie Wonder and Grammy-winner Bruno Mars.
“I am going in a different direction than any other American Idol really has. There is a wide open crowd and market out there now and I am ready to pounce on it,” said Stefano.
Only six contestants are now left. Next week, another hopeful will be voted off.
