David Foster Welcomes Idea of a Charice-Sarah Geronimo Collaboration

Sixteen-time Grammy award-winning producer-songwriter David Foster has yet to meet Philippine pop star Sarah Geronimo but he is already open to the idea of working with her… more so, if the project is a collaboration between his ward Charice (Pempengco) and Sarah.

David, Charice’s mentor, was at the launching of Vicki Belo’s first Belo clinic and surgi-center in the United States when the ABS-CBN’s (Sarah’s mother network) North America bureau caught up with him and asked him about the idea of a Charice-Sarah project.

Foster was quoted as saying, “I love Sarah. Sarah’s amazing and I think the two of them would be great together. I was in the Philippines and I wanted Sarah to come sing with me but she wasn’t available and I’d love to meet her someday.”

Sarah, for her part, already said in a prior interview that she is also hoping that this collaboration will push through.

As for Charice, David revealed that “She’s working with some young producers, and I’m monitoring from the 30,000-foot level. She’s 18 now, she’s got her own voice, she’s got her own mind, and she’s going to do great.”  Thus, he believes that Charice’s career will continue to do well in the future.
