Emma Watson to Study at Oxford
Actress Emma Watson, more popularly known as Hermione Granger in the highly successful Harry Potter movies, is expected to enroll at the prestigious Oxford University to study English at its Worcester College before classes start in October.
According to the actress’ own website, “Recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible. I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter and to focus on my other projects.”
Emma quit her course at Rhode Island’s Brown University in April with the “official reason” being that she faced trouble finding time to commit to her studies while also carrying out her film, promotional and modeling work.
But if rumors that circulated are to be believed, the real reason why she quit Brown University was because she was experiencing bullying brought about by her celebrity status and her role in Harry Potter that depicts her as the brainy one in the triumvirate.
Here’s hoping that they’d cut her some slack at Oxford.Get free updates directly to your e-mail from Showbiz Renegade. Just enter your e-mail below and confirm your subscription by clicking the link that will be sent to your e-mail.
