Hugh Hefner: Staying Single is Probably for the Best

Saturday was supposed to be his wedding day, but instead Playboy founder Hugh Hefner spent the day watching romantic chick flicks such as the “Runaway Bride”, top-billed by Julia Roberts and Richard Geere, among others.

85-year old Hefner was dumped last week by Crystal Harris, his 25-year old fiancée after she reportedly had a “change of heart”.

If reports were to be believed, Harris and Hefner got into a nasty argument which sent the relationship rolling downhill.

Hefner took to his Twitter account to express how he felt about the whole thing. He tweeted, “This was going to be my wedding day, but life is full of surprises. After all is said & done, staying single is probably for the best.”

When news of the split broke out, Hefner’s old friends and former lovers, including his second wife, Kimberley Conrad, and her mother; and former girlfriends Holly Madison and Bridget Marquardt, came to the mansion to offer their support.

Instead of sulking Hefner hosted screenings of romantic comedies such as “Sleepless in Seattle” and “50 First Dates” for his supporters.

Harris reportedly went on a stress-relieving trip out of town.
