Jasmine Curtis-Smith Talks About Learning Experiences and Big Sis
The newest rising star in the Philippines, Anne Curtis’ younger sister, Jasmine Curtis-Smiths admits to having learned much in her very first TV series in TV5,”Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum” (My Hoodlum Brother)opposite JC de Vera.
The 17-year-old actress plays Bing in the series. Like Jasmine,Bing is also Filipina-Australian. She portrays the ladylove of Ben played by JC de Vera.
In an interview last Saturday on the press conference for “Ang Utol Kong Hoodlum” in Byanihan Center,Mandaluyong City.Jasmine revealed thge first thing she learned from doing her very first series is acting.
She admitted that this is her very first series and she put a lot of effort into making this series a sure hit.She also expressed that she faced many facets of her life she never bothered to take notice as she is still young.
Further, Jasmine emphatically expressed,lacking she is in acting experience, she gives thanks to those people who are helping her in channeling the much needed emotions in every scene.
“Kasi ito yung first na pinaghirapan ko nang todo-todo na project.
“So, marami akong anggulo na kailangan i-face, na I’d never have to face before in my life, kasi sobrang bata ko pa.
“Siyempre, I still lack that experience, pero it’s nice na merong tumutulong sa akin in order to channel that type of emotion or character in me.
“So, I think that’s the biggest thing that I’ve grown into,”says Jasmine.
IN BEING COMPARED TO ANNE CURTIS
Almost everybody knows,Jasmine is the much adored younger sister of the very famous Anne Curtis, hence,comparison to the sisters is likely.
However, Jasmine positively answered that comparison there will be, at the very least,people will come into conclusion that she is no Anne Curtis,but her own self.
“Of course, meron pong takot sa akin na baka meron mag-end up sa comparisons.
“Pero, the way I see it, maganda pag kinu-compare kami kasi nakikita yung differences namin lalo na as a person.
“I don’t think that pointing out the differences is such a bad thing.
