SNSD Jessica Comments On Her Japanese Moniker “Demon”
With their impressive breakthrough in Japanese music industry, the nine members of Girls’ Generation have acquired individual popularity among their Japanese fans.
All nine of them, Taeyeon, Jessica, Tiffany, Sunny,Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sooyoung, Yoona and Seohyun are known individually by their different personalities and images.
However,to be called “Demon” by your fans,isn’t exactly what an international performer would want to be called.
She may be called as the lazy and sleep-a-holic member of the group, known as the’ Ice Queen” in South Korea but in Japan,Jessica Jung from SNSD has been dubbed as ” Demon”.
The 22-year-old singer recently shared her innermost feelings during her TV guesting in a popular TV show, “Strong Heart”
The show’s MC Lee Sung Gi opened the discussion on how she is known as “Demon” by her Japanese fans.Jessica admitted her plight upon knowing what her Japanese fans name her but eventually felt impressed with her Japanese moniker.
Jessica responded, “I saw the headlines as well, and was distressed at first.”
She continued, “I feel embarrassed saying this, but I learned that in Japan, ‘demon’ refers to someone who is lethal and beautiful, like the French ‘femme fatale’. I’m so thankful they call me that.”
