Erin Andrews Sues for $10 Million over Peephole Videos in a Hotel

The controversial ESPN sideline reporter and also a “Dancing With the Stars” finalist Erin Andrews is now seeking damages for the man sentenced to stalk her and took peephole videos at the hotel. Erin Andrews now was again in controversy after suing the sentenced man for $10 Million worth of damages. The Erin Andrews peephole videos became viral again after the filing of lawsuit.

Apparently, more than three years after the situation came into hot, the ESPN reporter Erin Andrews has already filed a lawsuit against several parties involved in the 2008 incident of Erin Andrews peephole videos where the said videotaped nude at Nashville hotel room.

According to some reports, Erin Andrews is seeking $10 million for invasion of privacy, asking $6 million of the West End Marriott where the incident took place and another $4 million from the man who taped her.

Meanwhile, Michael Barret, who was sentenced to 2 1/2 years in prison in 2010 after pleading guilty to stalking Erin Andrews, followed the TV personality to at least three cities where he shot footage of her through hotel peephole doors.

The said suit alleges also that the involved hotel was guilty of negligence for allowing Michael Barret, who had previously videotaped Andrews in other cities, that was according to prosecutors, just to learn that she was staying at the hotel and book a neighboring room.

Erin Andrews, 33, who placed third on Dancing with the Stars in 2010, said in her filed suit that the surveillance and the posting of nude images still causes her “great emotional distress and embarrassment.”

On the other hand, a Marriot representative declined comment on the lawsuit filed by Erin Andrews, but did tell the Tennessean the company has changed its policies since the incident occurrence.
