Whitney Houston Dies At 48


As people woke up today and checked their social networking sites, one of the trending topics shocked everyone as it mentions the death of one of the phenomenal singers in world, Whitney Houston. She’s only 48 years old yet she was able to bring herself up as the queen of Pop Music with her majestic voice and regal image.

Houston’s life has not been all glory as she was also involved by drug use, erratic behavior and a troubled marriage to singer Bobby Brown. She confessed to abusing cocaine, marijuana and pills, which eventually the reason why these days she hasn’t been releasing songs anymore. She could no longer hit notes just like before where she can hit it flawlessly.

It was in the middle of 1980s to the late 1990s when she reigned as one of the world’s best selling artists with more than 55 million records sold in the United States alone. Accordingly, Houston was destined to succeed and was seemed to be born into greatness. She was the daughter of gospel singer Cissy Houston, the cousin of 1960s pop diva Dionne Warwick and the goddaughter of Aretha Franklin.

However, all these greatness and fame just came to a tragic end. She wasn’t able to maintain her reign up to the last minutes of her life.

Her untimely death happened on the eve of music’s biggest night — the Grammy Awards. An event where she once dominated.

Her publicist Kristen Foster confirmed her death but the cause and location of it is not yet disclosed as of the moment.
