Transformers 4 Release Date Set on June 2014

Transformers 4’s release date is scheduled on June 29, 2014. That’s according to its long-time director, Michael Bay and Paramount Pictures.

Apparently, Michael Bay signed a two-picture deal with the studio that will start with the movie Pain and Gain and end with the movie Transformers 4. As announced on its official website MichaelBay.com, Bay will first finish ‘Pain and Gain‘ and will be followed by the ‘Transformers 4. The previous Transformers movie entitled ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon‘ made $1.124 billion worldwide last year.

“Michael has been working on ‘Pain and Gain‘ for a number of years but has patiently waited for the perfect casting to trigger a start. Clearly his patience has paid off as we couldn’t be more excited about this combo. His passion for this project is just awesome,”said Adam Goodman, President of Paramount‘s Film Group.

Bay is not the only returning member of the Transformers team. Transformers 4 will also reunite producers Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Don Murphy, Tom DeSanto and Ian Bryce; and executive producers Steven Spielberg, Bay, Brian Goldner and Mark Vahradian.

“We really are going to do a reboot there, and what that’s going to be we don’t even know yet. It’s a hybrid…It’s an evolution. There’s still continuity that’s going on, and yet there’ll be a lot of new cast,” Transformers producer Di Bonaventura told MTV in a recent interview.

When asked about the cast members, Di Bonaventura said: “We don’t even know yet. But the characters that would certainly come along would be Optimus and Bumblebee, I’m sure.”
