Bourne’s Jeremy Renner Goes to Malacanang

Hollywood celebrity and the new Bourne Legacy star, Jeremy Renner paid a courtesy call on February 22 to Philippine president, Benigno ‘PNoy’ Aquino, III — wearing ‘Barong Tagalog’ (the traditional Filipino formal garb).

But, get this… Renner was wearing fatigue-colored cargo pants with his Barong Tagalog and casual shoes.

Renner was accompanied by his executive production manager, Daniel Stillman, executive producer, Patrick Crowley and his Filipino counterpart, Jun Juban, for the 10 a.m. ‘meet and greet’ with the president at Malacañang Palace.

The cast and crew of ‘The Bourne Legacy’ franchise has been in the country for about a month now, shooting film scenes at various locations in the metropolis and also in a tourist destination in the country, Palawan..

Renner and his group reportedly gave President Aquino DVD copies of the previous Bourne movies namely ‘The Bourne Identity’,’ The Bourne Supremacy’, and ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’. Jeremy is also said to have given the Philippine Chief Executive copies of his former action flicks such as ‘The Town’ and ‘The Hurt Locker’.

For his part, PNoy gave Renner and his group a box of chocolates bearing the Presidential seal and two coffee table books about the Aquinos.
