Assault Case Against Salman Khan Quashed

We have another happy camper in Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

Just like Hollywood’s Lindsay Lohan, actor Salman Khan also got dispensation from the court today, as a local court has quashed a case of assault against him and six others.

The chief metropolitan magistrate on Friday quashed the case on the basis of the final report submitted by Kakadeo police station, where the case was filed on November 29, 2011.

According to the complaint lodged at Kakadeo police station by an NGO, its members had tried to hand over an ‘Anna cap’ to Salman during his visit to Kanpur on August 24 for the promotion of his movie “Bodyguard” but instead of taking the cap, Salman allegedly instructed his bodyguards to use force to stop them. The guards reportedly not only manhandled the NGO members but also caused injuries.

However, Kakadeo police in its report stated that locals present at the scene of the incident did not corroborate the allegations made by the NGO — enough reason for the court to quash the case against Khan.
