Beyonce: Surrogacy Rumors are Crazy
Pictures do not lie, or do they, Beyonce?
Ever since ‘People’ magazine’s Most Beautiful Woman Beyonce appeared on Australian chat show ‘Sunday Night’, rumors suggesting that she and husband Jay-Z had their daughter, Blue Ivy with the help of a surrogate mother had not stopped buzzing — even after she has given birth.
Months before the baby girl was born, the rumor mill ran rampant online that she was being carried by a surrogate mother.
And rumor-mongers had very good reason to keep questioning Beyonce’s alleged fake baby bump.
Footage from her appearance on said Australian chat show went viral in October 2011 after the cameras seemed to show her baby bump being squashed and folding as she sat down.
In an excerpt from an interview with People magazine, published online Sunday, the 30-year-old pop star said the controversy “wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy. [I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’”
Beyonce further explained the apparent ‘bump-foldng’ mishap by saying, “It was a fabric that folded — does fabric not fold?”
Blue Ivy was born in January in New York’s Lenox Hill Hospital, where the superstar couple ramped up security and allegedly took over an entire wing of the maternity ward.Get free updates directly to your e-mail from Showbiz Renegade.
