Beyonce’s Weight-loss Secret: Breastfeeding


Did she or didn’t she use a surrogate for her and Jay-Z’s first baby, Blue Ivy?

Well, for one Beyonce might have a hard time breastfeeding their baby if she did not actually give birth to her. Quite a long discussion about the process of lactation, so let us not go there. Let’s just agree that only mothers who have recently given birth to a baby is capable of producing breastmilk.

So, does this pronouncement that her ‘instant’ weight-loss can be credited to breastfeeding give credence to Beyonce’s claims that those surrogacy rumors are ‘just crazy’?

Do we really know that the baby is feeding directly from her boob? No pictures have been released showing such, as far as I know. What I did see is her ‘folding’ baby bump.

Anyway, let’s just give Beyonce the benefit of the doubt.

The hitmaker, who gave birth last January, said she did not put herself on a strict weight loss regime after having her first child, but she did make sure to do some basic exercise to shift the extra pounds.

“I lost most of my weight from breast-feeding and I encourage women to do it; it’s just so good for the baby and good for yourself.

“I counted calories. I worked out maybe three to four times a week. I did a lot of walking in the beginning and now I’m running. But I had to work my way up. I couldn’t just go right from being pregnant to running.”
