Cotto vs Mayweather Fight Ended With Floyd Winning via Unanimous Decision

The Cotto vs Mayweather boxing  fight for the WBA Super Light Middleweight championship has now ended with Floyd Mayweather Jr. declared as a winner via unanimous decision.

Floyd Mayweather Jr won against Miguel Cotto on Saturday after the judges scored the boxing fight as 117-111, 117-111, and 118-110 all in favor of Mayweather.

Dubbed as the “Ring Kings”, observers notably scored the first rounds of the fight as very close, with Mayweather having seen with a bloody nose in Round 4 and had his face with blood starting Round 6, but the undefeated champion went back in the latter rounds particularly in Round 12.

With Mayweather winning this fight against Cotto, he has now a record of 43-0, 26 KO, while Miguel Cotto has a 37-3, 30 KO. Floyd is expected to receive $32 million without pay-per-view, next to Mike Tyson‘s $30 million in one of fights with Evander Holyfield.

Mayweather’s last fight was in September winning over Victor Ortiz via 4th round knockout. On the other hand, Miguel Cotto, who also lost from Manny Pacquiao in November 2009, won over challenger Antonio Margarito via TKO in Round 9 last December 3, their second match. Cotto have already defended the title three times.
