BMW Championship 2012: Leaderboard for Day 3 Has Stiff Competition

The BMW Championship 2012 shows that it’s a battle between Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh and Tiger Woods as they top the Leaderboard for Day 3 of the golf tournament. It’s an All-Star game this Saturday as Phil Mickelson made 10 birdies to share the lead with Vijay Singh at the Crooked Stick in Carmel, Ind.

It will be a great battle for the three all-star golf players at the BMW Championship 2012 as Vijay Singh, Phil Mickelson and Tiger Woods give a big script to the story line of the tournament for another day of premium scoring at the Crooked Stick Golf Club.

Meanwhile, Rory McIlroy, for straight second year in FedEx Cup playoff win and his PGA-Tour leading fourth year in a row, birdied the 18th to get an ordinary day with a 69. McIlroy was one shot behind Lee Westwood, a former no. 1 in the world who made all five of his birdies on the back nine for a 68.

To sum up the game for Day 3 of the BMW Championship 2012,  Mickelson just hurdled 13 players to get into a share of the lead  in the BMW Championship 2012 Leaderboard with Vijay Singh, as they posted 69, Mickelson highest score so far.

But at 16 under, it’s not like they can consider it a two-man race, not with a pair of heralded Brits, Rory McIlroy (69) and Lee Westwood (68) just giving up their best in the tournament.

Furthermore, still at  BMW Championship 2012, at 14 under and just two off the lead, Adam Scott (66) is tied with Dustin Johnson (67) and Robert Garrigus (66), who seemingly wasn’t a factor until he eagled the par-5 15th, birdied the par-4 16th, and birdied the par-3 17th.

The players will lead their way ahead this Sunday, September 9,2012 chasing for the $8 million and for the championship title of the BMW Championship 2012.
