Kentucky Election Results 2012: Andy Barr and Thomas Massie Victorious against Democrats

A big win for Republican candidates in the state of Kentucky in the 2012 elections.

A seat controlled by Democrats since 2004 in the 6th District, it is now under the helm of Republican Andy Barr.  Barr, a lawyer by profession, defeated Democratic candidate Rep. Ben Chandler.

The race in the 4th district also went in favor of the Republicans in Thomas Massie.

Massie, who is an engineer and owns a tech company defeated the Democratic candidate William Adkins.

Bad news however for Republicans in the 3rd district as Democratic candidate Rep. John Yarmuth wins for a fourth time.  He defeats the Republican candidate Brooks Wicker.

All other three Republican incumbents won their own respective races.

In the national polls, Mitt Romney is way ahead of Barack Obama in Kentukcy.
