Pacquiao vs Marquez 4 Referee will be Kenny Bayless

The two fighters had finished their many months of rigorous trainings and that everyone is already excited to see these two legendary fighters face again in the ring –  for the fourth time.

Manny Pacquiao is facing Mexican arch-nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez for the fourth time on December 8 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The match up, which will be biggest for this year in boxing, is dubbed as “Pacquiao vs Marquez IV.”

Still reeling from a draw and two straight losses with close results from Pacquiao, Marquez said that he will settle the score, be very impressive and convincing, and prove to the world that he was the real winner in the last three fights.  He added that he will knock out Pacquiao and assured everyone that this fourth fight will be and should be their last.

Manny Pacquiao on the other hand is confident that he will knock out Marquez.  His trainers added that this time, the 8-division world champion is very focused, hadn’t experienced any distractions in training and has regained his very aggressive and fiery boxing style.

Pacquiao will stand to earn about a guaranteed purse of $8 million while Marquez will pocket a guaranteed paycheck of $3 million.  (Read here for more of Pacquiao vs Marquez IV Earnings)  Of course, these numbers do not yet include those that will be generated from the pay-per-view sales.

Keith Kaizer, Executive Director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced in an interview that it will be the veteran of championship fights Kenny Bayless who will be the third man on the ring on December 8’s main event.

Bayless was also the same referee during the Pacquiao vs Marquez II fight that resulted in a close decision win for Manny.

The three judges who will score the fight were also already announced by Kaizer.
