Johnny Depp Ranks #2 In Forbes’ Highest Paid Hollywood Actor

Johnny Depp started quite a buzz after saying that he is getting paid ‘stupid’ amounts of money by producers to star in their films, but even all that “stupid money” is not enough to land him the top spot in Forbes’ Highest Paid Hollywood Actor list.

Not that Johnny is saying ‘no’ to “stupid money” anytime soon, saying he is building a life for his children, so if movie studios want to pay him ridiculous sums of money, he will definitely take it — which is probably why he is still in Forbes’ list.

So who are the actors on the list this year?

First on it is another A-list actor, Leonardo DiCaprio who has yet to come out with a movie for 2011, but whose 2010 starrer, ‘Inception’ also made ridiculous sums of money in the box office.

Johnny Depp is #2, as we have already mentioned, due mainly to his ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise.

Adam Sandler managed to come in third place, despite his lackluster movie ‘Bedtime Stories’ which still managed to rake in a significant portion of the box-office stakes.

Will Smith is fourth, due largely to his son’s debut movie, ‘Karate Kid’, which he produced.

Tom Hanks takes fifth spot, thanks to ‘Toy Story 3’ which made up for the flop he had with ‘Larry Crowne’.

Ben Stiller, Robert Downey, Jr., Mark Wahlberg, Tim Allen and Tom Cruise round up the lower half of the top 10.

I can’t believe that Leonardo Dicaprio beat out Johnny Depp in the forbes top list of A-listers. Depp has way more movies under his belt than Dicaprio does. Plus his box-office receipts total in the millions and billions. Dicaprio’s doesn’t. Better recheck those figures.
