Denise Richards Regrets Boob Job

As they say, motherhood changes you, not just physically but emotionally and psychologically as well. Hollywood actress, Denise Richards is living proof of that.

The actress admitted that she used to have a negative body image which led her to go under the knife for breast augmentation when she was just 19 years old. Now, years later and two biological daughters and one adopted daughter after, her view of her self-image has not only improved but her ‘vanity’ has also taken a backseat.

As a mother trying to teach her girls positive body image, Richards admits she regrets her decision of undergoing breast enhancement surgery as a teenager, and is worried that she is sending a “confusing message” to her young daughters by fussing over her looks.

“I often times feel like a hypocrite with my daughters when trying to teach them to have a healthy view on beauty and body image. I’m in a business where looks and weight do matter…,” Denise wrote on her blog.

“My girls see me at work or getting ready for photo shoots and I’m sure at times it can be a confusing message to them when I’m being primped, dressed and fussed over. I always explain it’s Mommy’s job.
They see me get spray-tanned and my nails done too. I always need fresh nails every week…

“At 19 when I first got my breasts done, I wish that I was confident enough with my body to not have had surgery. That is something that I really want to encourage in my daughters, to embrace their healthy body and have confidence,” she added.

Richards has two daughters, Sam, seven, and Lola, six, with ex-husband Charlie Sheen, and she has recently adopted a baby girl she named Eloise.
