Kyle Bennett is an Inspiration in the Sports of BMX Cycling – USA Cycling

 


A sad day for the sports of BMX cyling.

The American three-time world champion of BMX cycling was reportedly killed last Sunday in a crash.

Kyle Bennet, 33, died in a one-vehicle crash after his truck went off the road early Sunday at Conroe, Texas, his hometown.

Bennett is a multi-awarded BMX cyclist being himself an Olympian in 2008.

The world of cycling mourns his untimely death.  Steve Johnson, USA Cycling chief executive shared,

“All of us at USA Cycling were deeply saddened to learn this morning of the tragic and untimely loss of Kyle Bennett.  Kyle was a pioneer in Olympic BMX and an inspiration to those of us that knew him. He will be sorely missed and we offer our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.”

He is survived by his daughter and fiancée.
