Walmart Goodies: Walmart Introduces Goodies for Delivery Services

 

The giant store Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has launched Goodies Co., a monthly food subscription tagged as Walmart Goodies, services that will enable consumers to have gourmet foods delivered right away to their door steps and discover perks and new items. Apparently, the subscription fee is $7 per month, which include tax and shopping fee, plus the subscribers can get gift box with 5 to 8 taster samples ranging from healthy to organice to artisan and also to ethnic.

Meanwhile, the Walmart Goodies, launches on Wednesday, November 14, 2012, where the said Goodies is already distributed in United States. “Gourmet” and “Artisan” are probably the first words that will encounter when you see the Walmart logo. For the meantime, the Walmart is also trying to change it.

“Unlike current offerings, Goodies Co. is the first to offer a large assortment of products for a total price that is almost half of the total value of the items if they were purchased separately,” the Walmart release says. “The total price for all of the items in the November box would be approximately $15 compared to the Goodies Co. $7 price.”

The Walmart Goodies main selling strategy, as shop destination has long been price, mostly at the cost of quality and appearances. Goodies is the company’s latest effort to try and change that image and attract a new set of tech savvy, conscientious (and probably younger) customers.

On the other hands, the service also creates an online social community where subscribers can post reviews and opinions to earn loyalty points, which can be redeemed in the future for boxes or items in the stores.
