Joss Whedon $100 Million Rumor Payday for Directing the Avengers 2

The Joss Whedon $100 Million payday for directing the Avengers 2 for Disney is quite intriguing today and others where interested to know the truth.

On Tuesday, a certain report said that director Joss Whedon is getting a deal worth $100 million from Disney. Whedon, apparently, took to his own blog, Whedonesque, to confirm that  getting paid $100 million for Avengers movie is not true, causing the internet quickly lit up with the stories of Whedon squashing to rumors.

Some have questioned if the said rumors is true or not. Some says that directors typically don’t make nearly that much. In fact, Rober Downey Jr. raked in between $50 and $70 million form The Avengers, and brought home a pleasant $35 million from Iron Man 3.

Accordingly, the Joss Whedon $100M rumor surfaced after Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, etc. reportedly demanded more money themselves for Avengers 2, with each wanting $5 million right away and a cut of the box office after release. Some reports claimed these contract negotiations are threatening to sink the entire film project.

On a recent post on Whedonesque.com, the director said, “I’m making A LOT, which is exciting. I’m not pretending to be a poor farmer, an Everyman, an ANYman. But that number is nuts.”

In his letter, the talent behind the Marvel films continued to shoot down other “facts,” including a real bummer to anyone invited to a Joss Whedon party this Memorial Day.
