Comedian Redford White Passed Away at the Age of 54


redfordwhiteCiprian Cermeno also known as the comedian Redford White, died today at the age of 54 due to brain and lung cancer complications. The comedian passed away at his home in Novaliches, Caloocan City at 6:47 am.

Apo Hiking Society member Jim Paredes, a close friend of White , said that the comedian has been sick since February.

Gabe Mercado, an actor said in his twitter account that White kept his condition secret even from his close friends.

Redford was a popular comedian, especially during the 80’s and 90’s. His hit films include:

He was most famous as Sol in the television sitcom Buddy en Sol with Eric Quizon in the early 90’s. His first television appearance in 1977 was in Iskul Bukol tv series. Incidentally, he was last seen in the movie “Iskul Bukol: 20 years after” (2008).

Redford White will surely be missed.
