Glee Sings Coldplay Songs on an Episode

Glee Sings Coldplay Songs on an EpisodeThey refused, but then apologized and said yes.

Hit TV show Glee asked some bands and groups for their precious music to be performed on their episode but two of them declined; Bryan Adams and Coldplay.

The two bands did not see how lucrative and financially rewarding it is for them when their songs are sang and performed by the William McKinly High students.

The Madonna episode of Glee ended up No. 1 and Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” on No.4 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles.

Coldplay first said no to have their songs be made available to the TV show but then called up the writer and producer of Glee a week after and eventually said yes, giving the show their catalog.

“At the beginning a lot of people didn’t know what we were and asked to see pages (in advance), but I refused because I didn’t want to set precedent of them having any involvement. My favorite rejection was Bryan Adams. Coldplay and Bryan Adams were really the only rejections. But Coldplay called a week ago and said, ‘We’re sorry, you can have our catalog.'”

I am already excited to watch this Glee Coldplay Episodes and songs they will sing from the hit band.
