Arcade Fire “The Suburbs” Wins Album of the Year for 2011 Grammy Awards

 

A shocker!

Arcade Fire took home the biggest award of the night during the 2011 Grammy Awards. The band that hails form Montreal, Canada won the Album of the Year Award beating early favorites and more popular musicians like Eminem.

The indie rock band composed of Win Butler, Régine Chassagne, Richard Reed Parry, Sarah Neufield, Tim Kingsbury, Will Butler and Jeremy Gara were all shock and thanked all their fans.

The band posted a message on their Twitter account:

“OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. Thank you EVERYONE.”

Arcade Fire’s their album entitled “The Suburbs” has sold more than 400,000 copies.  The album also reached the number one music spots in Canada and in the US.
