Boxer Sugar Ray Leonard Sent Home From “Dancing With The Stars”

Legendary boxer Sugar Ray Leonard is the latest cast of the popular ABC show “Dancing With The Stars” to be sent home packing after an unsatisfactory performance on the dance floor.

Sugar Ray together with his dance partner Anna Trebunskaya headed for the exit after settling for only 21 out of 30 points from the judges scorecards plus the low voters’ turnout for them.

Sugar and Anna showcased a Viennese waltz on Monday night which failed to impress judges and televiewers.

“That’s life, and I put up a good fight.  I will cherish this moment: great friends, great people, great show… I love the spirit of the show, the people and what the show means, represents and stands for,” said Leonard.

Asked of how was the experience of working with the hard-punching Leonard on DWTS, Anna Trebunskaya said,

“The boxer became a ballet dancer!”

She also added,

“He never danced before, was trained to do something completely different, and came out there every single right with grace and enthusiasm and showmanship. I think some of the other people on the show need to learn from this guy and then they’ll do fine.”

Last week, it was Wendy Williams who got eliminated.
