Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton to be Attended by 1.5 Million People According to Authorities

 

Tomorrow, April 29, millions of people are expected to watch the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.



The royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton will happen at Westminster Abbey, 11 AM.  It will be witnessed by family, friends and thousands of invited guests who come from the world of politics, entertainment, media, business and from royalty.

Kate will come from the Goring Hotel together with her sister Pippa and mom Carole.  They will be riding on Rolls-Royce car instead of riding in a traditional royal carriage just like that of Princess Diana.

Kate is will be the last person to arrive at Westminster; the last person permitted to arrive after Queen Elizabeth according to online reports.

On the other hand, Prince William will come from the Clarence House and will be accompanied by his younger brother Prince Harry who will also stand as his bestman.

 

Millions of People Expected to Arrive in London

Over 5,000 police were reported to have been tasked by government to keep the security of an estimated 1 million to 1.5 million crowd in London during the ceremony.

During the wedding Prince William’s parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, authorities said that about 600,000 people attended the event.  But on April 29, police said it will balloon to millions of tourist who will stay in London.

Online reports said many people who are expected to watch the event on the streets of London are tourists coming many parts of Europe and the America. While on the other hand, most Londoners were reported to be goingout of London to spend a quick vacation.

April 29, the royal wedding day was declared a holiday.

Media outlets are also preparing for the coverage of what is dubbed as the “Wedding of the Century” as millions of people from around the world will set to watch a fairytale love story happening in real life.

In the Philippines, local television networks are going to cover the event too.  These are ABS-CBN, GMA7 and TV5 and all their affiliate and/or sister networks.

People are hopeful that the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton will not suffer the same fate as that of the former’s parents.
