MTV Skins Axed

Moms can now relax and breathe as MTV has finally axed its controversial show “Skins”. The media empire has confirmed that the sex-crazed teenagers won’t be back for a second season.

The Parents Television Council’s call for a federal investigation for possible child pornography certainly did not help lift up the show’s rating. The messy story line also made the show a certified failure.

Members of the Parents Television Council was delighted to her the announcement. According to a spokesperson, the Council is thankful and satisfied. “We are grateful to every member of the public who helped us drive an economic stake through the graphic content on the program, the likes of which never deserves to see the light of day again.”

Meanwhile, MTV also issued a statement explaining the shows cancellation. “‘Skins’ is a global television phenomenon that, unfortunately, didn’t connect with a U.S. audience as much as we had hoped.”

MTV Skins is an adaptation from the hit U.K. version. The program takes the audience into a wild ride through the lives and dramas of a group of high school friends. The show was criticized for being too racy. Reviewers slams it as too much skin with little (no) substance.
