Michael Douglas’ Ex Still Does Not Get Her Share of His Earnings

Michael Douglas’ ex-wife, Diandra, whom he divorced back in 2000 is still unable to get her claws on any of Michael’s “Wall Street 2” earnings.

She has actually lost her second bid to get her share of the actor’s earnings after Manhattan court Justice Matthew Cooper decided that Diandra’s claims that their divorce settlement entitled her to her ex-husband’s earnings should be heard in a court in California, where the couple filed and were granted their divorce in year 2000.

Diandra claims that she was entitled to half of the money that her Hollywood star-former husband earned for his role in “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps” because the first production, which gave rise to the second film, was made during the course of their marriage.

She said that although the movie (Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps) was made 10 years after their split, she should have gotten the cash under their divorce settlement.

Diandra’s first original money claim was filed just weeks before Michael was diagnosed with throat cancer.

I really do not know what’s up with her or what’s in their divorce settlement, but I have read that she got a sizeable sum for the split that enabled Michael to marry Catherine Zeta Jones, so asking for her “share” in a movie made 10 years after they parted seem absurd.

It seems money really never sleeps… it turn ex-wives into greedy, scheming women. 🙂
