Prince William and Catherine Middleton are on duty


The fun times are over for Prince William and his lady love Catherine “Kate” Middleton. Last Saturday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were on royal duties, attending Britain’s Armed Forces day and paying tribute to servicemen and women.

According to reports, the royal couple, who wore matching navy blue frocks, were busy honoring the guardsmen and their families. Prince William, attending as Colonel-in-Chief of the Irish Guards, awarded Afghanistan campaign medals to the members of the Irish troops.

In a separate private ceremony, the handsome prince also presented the Elizabeth Cross to families of of fallen servicemen. “I am proud to be your colonel. I am humbled by the thought of the sacrifices that you and your families have made and the losses that you suffered, all in the service of our country,” William told the family members.

Kate, who was beside her man the whole time, also paid respect to the guardsmen and their family. Matching her fascinator with a navy blue dress and heels, she was definitely a royalty in class and style.

The couple, whose original schedule was to last for only 30 minutes, was kind and humble enough to stay a bit longer.
