George Clooney Says He Really Is Not the Marrying Kind

It is as if Hollywood’s most eligible bachelor, George Clooney is saying the typical break-up spiel, ‘It is not you, it’s me’.

Maybe George is getting a lot of negative crap, like being labeled a ‘certified ladies’ man’ or ultimate playboy because of his break-up with Elisabetta Canalis so he decided he needed to explain himself.

Explain away, George.

Clooney, who has ‘openly’ loved and left a long line of beautiful women, mostly stunning models and beautiful celebrities, admitted that if only he had known at the age of 18 that he was not the marrying type, he would never have gotten married, even once, at all.

He was quoted by ‘The Sun’ as saying, “I wish I had known then that I was not the marrying kind. Some people aren’t. I am one of them.”

“Yet I did marry. I loved and adored the woman I married but it was not enough. We had gone out for a long time and I was not prepared to face up to the fact you need to work at a marriage.

“I was 28 and not as tolerant as I should have been. I should not have put myself – or her – in that situation.

The actor adds that he wished he knew at 18 that it is hard to juggle a relationship with a flourishing movie career.

He said, “They [his girlfriends] see me traveling around, putting work first, writing, directing, acting. It seems I never stop…I don’t blame them for wanting more from a relationship.”

So, for his next girlfriend, don’t say you were not warned. George has already issued a ‘Caveat emptor’.
