Todd was allegedly holding up a Walgreens this afternoon in Attleboro, MA.

Law enforcement officials disclosed that Todd presented a pharmacist a note on his cellphone that stated that he had a bomb and then demanded pills. He escaped by via taxi with six bottles of painkillers.

The rock bassist was later arrested at the Comcast Center where Coheed and Cambria is set to open for Soundgarden. Coheed and Cambria proceeded with their opening act one member short.

He’s been charged with armed robbery and unlawful possession of narcotics.

An arraignment is scheduled for Monday. Todd is being held on $10,000 bail.

Coheed and Cambria posted this statement in their official Tumblr page: “Michael Todd was arrested today on what we consider very serious charges and therefore he will not be finishing up the current tour. Wes Styles, long time member of the Coheed family will take on bass duties starting tomorrow for the remaining dates. No shows will be canceled…“For now, we just want to have a great time out here and finish with some killer shows in Boston, Poughkeepsie, Quebec City and Halifax.”

Todd, a known substance abuser, left the band in August 2006 to rehabilitate himself. He rejoined the group in April 2007. He has already been with the band for 10 years when he left shortly in 2006.
