Zooey Deschanel Fires Back

With all the dramas and controversies, Hollywood is truly a breeding ground for catfights. The recent to join the list of feuding femmes are American actress Zooey Deschanel and Los Angeles Times veteran writer Patt Morrison.

Last week, the 59-year-old journalist lambasted the (500) Days of Summer star at her column entitled “Downtown L.A.: Good Enough for the Royals but Not for Zooey Deschanel?”. The article, apparently, was a
critique to the 31-year-old’s earlier statement regarding the “Royalties being treated to the worst of L.A.”

Morrison was not soft with her words, calling the actress a “snobby cow”.
Deschanel, apparently, got the message and fires back immediately. “Let me be clear: the quote from USA Today that you used as the foundation of your piece was taken completely out of context,” said the actress in her open letter posted on HelloGiggles.com. “I NEVER said that Downtown LA was ‘the worst of LA.'” adds the Yes Man star.

She also expressed her disappointment with the Emmy Award winning writer. “I was completely and utterly shocked that a professional journalist, whom I have never met, would take a partial quote out of context and use it as the basis for a misguided personal attack. Further, I find it appalling that you would resort to name-calling to get your point across. In a court of law this would be called hearsay, and in journalism, I believe this should be the beginning of an investigation, not the end of one.” wrote the Gothic-looking star.

Smells like catfight!
