Lady Gaga Now an Honorary Australian Citizen

Australia loves Lady Gaga! They love her so much that the country in the land down under has bestowed on the Lady an honorary Australian citizenship.

The pop star was in Sydney to promote her latest album ‘Born This Way’ and also to stage a show at the Sydney Town Hall on July 13.
Lady Gaga was handed a prestigious honor by Sydney mayor Clover Moore.

Later in the day, she posted on Twitter a picture of her special certificate and expressed her gratitude for the honor saying, “Thank you to the Mayor of Sydney, steadfast Glbt (gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender) activist, for making me an honorary Aussie Citizen,”

In another TV appearance, the pop sensation credits her father, Joseph Germanotta, for her success and revealed that she wants nothing more than for her father to be proud of her music. She said she wants this more than she wants the worldwide adulation she is being showered with.

She was quoted as saying, “As much as I want the world to be happy, at the end of the day I just want my dad to be proud of me.”
