Nicki Minaj — Assaulted or Not?

A day after raptress Nicki Minaj denies being assaulted, police reports that were obtained say otherwise.

News broke out last night, July 13, that the singer songwriter was hit in the lip after a heated argument in a Dallas hotel. The altercation was described to be between the Your Love artist and a man identified as Safaree Samuels.

The Super Bass singer launched rants and tirades in Twitter. She posted: “The fact that u believe a man either slapped or punched me in the face & didn’t leave on a stretcher w/his balls hangin off? #getaF%cknLife.” Moments after, Minaj wrote: “The media could pee on ur leg & tell u its raining. You’d believe it. You’d believe u were an adopted martian if TMZ told u so. #stopit5.”

Safaree Samuels, Minaj’s assistant and long time friend also took to Twitter saying: “The general public are some stupid m***af**kas!!!! Y’all d**ks believe anything on a website…. It’s really a shame… Wut up tho Dallas?!!” Followed by another tweet that reads: “4the record I would never lay a hand on ANY woman, I have all sisters and No brothers And that’s the last I’ll say about that!!! God bless.”

According to police reports, however, there was indeed physical injuries incurred. After their argument in the Palomar Hotel pool, Minaj followed Safaree to their room fearing that the latter would take things from the room. Minaj looked into his suitcase then Safaree “grabbed the suitcase and as he was picking it up, he shoved the suitcase across [her] chin and lower lip.”

The responding officers noted in the report that there was “slight swelling and redness” to Minaj’s chin. Her teeth was also “struck the inside of her lower lip, causing the inside of the lower lip to cut and start to bleed.”

The Pink Friday artist was checked by paramedics on the scene but Minaj decided not to press charges.
