Gwen Stefani to Launch Harajuku Mini line for Kids

‘Ordinary’ people like you and me can now score rockstar clothing ensembles for our kids – courtesy of Gwen Stefani’s affordable Harajuku Mini line for kids.

The singer-songwriter, who is also a bonafide fashion designer (she currently has two brands: L.A.M.B., an upscale women’s wear collection and Harajuku Lovers, a line of fragrances and accessories), is set to partner with budget store, Target on an apparel and accessories line for babies and kids.

The brand will be called Harajuku Mini and will have pieces in the price range of $3.99 to $29.99.

Stefani was quoted as saying, “Harajuku Mini is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to do a cool children’s fashion line inspired by the super cute and playful kid’s clothing you find in Japan. Target has given me the creative freedom to design kid’s clothing that is different than most anything you usually see out there with great quality, attention to detail and most of all, available at amazing prices.”

The scheduled roll-out on Target stores and on Target.com is in November 2011 and January 2012.
