The nine-member girl power group has just ended their 1st Japan Area Tour last July 18th at the Marine Messe,Fukuoka after 14 concert performance in 6 different cities across Japan. The tour commenced at the Saitama Super Arena, then the cities of Tokyo,Hiroshima,Nagoya and concluded in Fukuoka. Each concert was filled to capacity and had an average of 10,000 per concert performance.

Adding to the Girls’ bountiful coffers, the Girls’ Generation released their self-titled first all Japanese album Only a day after the tour started, Girls’ Generation ,which sold more than 500,000 copies during the first few weeks of release, certifying it as “Double Platinum” by Japan’s Association of Recording Industries.
