Tina Fey Gives Birth to Baby Girl


Comedian Tina Fey is having the last laugh. The Saturday Night Live actress was all smile with her recent pregnancy.

According to the Emmy-winning actress’ rep, Fey and her 51-year-old husband Jeffrey Richmond welcomed their second daughter, Penelope Athena, on Wednesday.

Penelope Athena, named after two Greek Mythology character, will join her 5-year-old sister Alice in the Richmond household.

Fey first announced her pregnancy during a taping for the Oprah Winfrey Show last April. The multiple award-winner actress was in Chicago at that time.

In a separate TV guesting, Fey shared her pregnancy stories on the Ellen DeGeneres show. She described her second pregnancy as “easy” but with some special assistance from the doctors. Apparently the doctors gave special attention to her “advanced maternal age”. “Because now I’m Oldie Olderson. They look at me like I’m just going to explode. They treat me very gingerly,” ” joked the 41-year-old 30 Rock star.

Fey had also told Ellen that she and husband Jeffrey had chose to wait till the baby arrived to find out the sex of the baby.

Born Elizabeth Samantha Fey, Tina Fey is the youngest-ever winner of the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor.
