No Illegal Drugs in Amy Winehouse’s Death

Based on the results of the toxicology tests done on the late British singer, Amy Winehouse, illegal drugs did not play a part in her death – but sadly alcohol did.

Amy Winehouse is known to be a heavy drinker and a user of illegal substances. At the time o her death, her father said he knows she has been sober for months.

The Winehouse family revealed that contrary to what was believed to have been what caused Amy’s death last month, toxicology tests showed there were no illegal drugs in her system when she died.

They also admitted that the tests showed “alcohol was present,” but it has not yet been determined if it is what played a pivotal role in the singer’s death.

The 27-year-old Winehouse was found dead in her London home on July 23, and the initial post-mortem failed to determine what caused her death.

The family is still awaiting the outcome of an inquest that is due to begin in October.
