The “Material Girl” Is Back With An Album!

 

Who says this generation is only for the young and hippie?Well,your are all wrong,though aging,Madonna will surely give any young performers a run for their money!

The Madonna fever lives on,as the legendary singer is set to release her 12th studio album that will hit music stores on spring 2012. Madonna’s first single is projected to be out on either February or March.

In an interview with the Sweden’s Sveriges Television (SVT), the diva herself announced the news of her upcoming album.

The 53-year old Madonna admitted that she’s “started a little bit of work in the studio” for her new album.She is set to continue recording in New York until the end of the year.

As confirmed by her manager, Guy Oseary, Madonna began working on her album officially on July 4th. That day marked her “1st day in the recording studio for the new album.”Oseary announced via Twitter.

In the interview,which was held in Venice,Italy ,also revealed Madonna is collaborating once again with producer William Orbit. The Madonna-Orbit collaboration was last heard way back 1998 in Madonna’s “Ray of Light” album. The collaboration yielded a number 2 spot on the Billboard 200 which sold 3.9 million copies in the U.S. according to Nielsen SoundScan and won the Grammy Award for best pop album.

This forthcoming album will be Madonna’s first studio release after her departure from Warner Bros. Records and entering into an all-encompassing deal with Live Nation. Her final Warner Bros. studio set, “Hard Candy,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has sold 739,000 in the U.S. It spawned the hit single, “4 Minutes,” featuring Justin Timberlake and Timbaland, which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Madonna is in Venice, Italy to also promote her film “W.E.,” which premiered out of competition at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday, Sept. 1.
