Joe Jonas First Solo Concert at The House of Blues

Teen heartthrob Joe Jonas readies himself for a transition.

Joe, a member of the famous three man band “The Jonas Brothers” together with siblings Nick and Kevin, has captured all the hearts of every little girl in this generation with cute looks,bubble-gum power-pop and cute Disney films like Hannah Montana and Camp Rock.

Those days of making little girls hearts flutter is over as Joe Jonas is geared to switch audience from tweens to young adult audience.

This coming Tuesday, the middle Jonas Bro commences his first solo tour together with co-headliner Jay Sean and JoJo at the House of Blues. This will be a new concert setting for the teen idol as he is used to big, stadium-filled performances during his stint with his siblings as part of The Jonas Brothers. The Jonas Brothers played TD Garden in 2009 and Comcast Center in 2010.

In an interview in his California home,Joe Jonas said, “It’s definitely going to be intimate compared to what I’ve done in the past. But it will also be nice because it’s a step I’ve never taken.”

Joe Jonas’ solo debut “Fast Life,” will be available on Oct. 11. According to rumors, Joe’s fans may not be psyched with the change in music. Fans are now getting a taste of the singer’s slicker sound on his first single, the r&b jam “See No More.”

Further, Joe Jonas also addressed being compared with his brother Nick’s choice in music genre.

“I love Nick’s stuff, it’s incredible, but I wanted to do something a little more mainstream,” he said.

Nick, like his older brother,is also on the works with his new album and recruited Prince’s former backing band in an attempt to get old-school funky. On the other hand, Joe is shooting for modern Top 40 pop.

Nick tried to jump right into adult rock, but Joe wants to ease into his new sound.

He mentioned Take That boy band singer and solo star Robbie Williams as a key influence. “Fast Life” producers include Danja and Rob Knox, who helped Justin Timberlake’s music mature.

“As I grow up, my fans grow up,” he said. “Because we’ve grown together, I think they’ll be able to relate to the album. … I’m really thankful for the Jonas Brothers’ fan base. Now I need use that fan base to help find new ears to listen to the new stuff.”

He is set to finish 19 sets of mini concert and he is scheduled to join Britney Spears in the latter’s Femme Fatale concert tour European leg. Joe Jonas will act as Britney’s opener.

“It’s like starting over, and I understand that,” he said.

Joe Jonas dreams his album “Fast Life” would be like Justin Timberlake’s “Future-Sex/LoveSounds,” the four-times platinum album that made the world forget Timberlake was ever part of a boy band. However,if it doesn’t go the way he wants it, Joe said he has a solid backup plan.

“If it does well, I could be out touring and promoting it for two years,” he said. “But it could be six months, or three months. But when it’s all done, I will be getting back with my brothers to make more music.”
