Bridget Marquardt: On Freezing Her Eggs

Bridget Marquardt, one of the ‘The Girls Next Door’ and former Hugh Hefner girlfriend can rest easy. At 37, she can afford to just watch and let her biological clock go tick-tock, tick-tock — as she already took care of things three years ago by getting her eggs frozen.

So, if and when she finally decides she is ready to have kids, she would not have to worry about her eggs not being in their prime to produce healthy babies free from any abnormalities.

Bridget explains further, “Holly [Madison] and Hef were obviously the main relationship. We weren’t allowed to date or anything like that. I wanted to have a little bit of insurance policy and a little extra time.”

She hastens to add that she has no regrets about the fertility procedure, saying, “I think that it was 100% worth it. I don’t feel that clock ticking. I’m not really worried about it. At the same time I would like to have kids someday, but I’m not one of those people who’s dying to have kids. If it doesn’t happen or if I decide to adopt later, that’s fine, too.”

Marquardt has been dating director Nicholas Carpenter since 2008.
